Underfloor Heating Systems

Underfloor Heating Systems We Install

We install a comprehensive range of underfloor heating systems to suit all property types, floor constructions, and project stages. Every system is carefully selected, designed, and installed to deliver maximum efficiency, long-term reliability, and exceptional comfort

Screeded underfloor heating systems are the most traditional and efficient form of underfloor heating and are ideally suited to new builds, extensions, and full refurbishments. The pipework is securely fixed before being encapsulated within a sand and cement or liquid screed, forming a solid thermal mass.

Once heated, the screed retains warmth and releases it evenly across the entire floor area, providing consistent temperatures and excellent energy efficiency. This makes screeded systems particularly effective when paired with heat pumps, although they also perform exceptionally well with modern boilers.

These systems offer outstanding longevity, minimal maintenance, and the highest levels of comfort, making them the preferred choice where floor build-up height allows.

Low Profile Underfloor Heating Systems

Low profile systems are specifically designed for renovation projects where floor heights are restricted but the benefits of underfloor heating are still desired. Using ultra-slim panels or castellated boards, the pipework is installed close to the finished floor level, keeping build-up to an absolute minimum.

Despite their slim design, low profile systems deliver impressive heat output and fast warm-up times. They are compatible with a wide range of floor finishes, including tiles, engineered wood, and vinyl, and can often be installed over existing subfloors with minimal disruption.

This makes low profile underfloor heating an excellent solution for retrofits, occupied homes, and projects where maintaining existing thresholds is critical.

Floating floor systems are a dry installation method where the pipework is housed within pre-routed insulated panels that sit directly beneath the finished floor. These systems are ideal for engineered timber, laminate, and other floating floor coverings.

Because no screed is required, installation is quicker and cleaner, with faster response times compared to traditional screeded systems. Heat spreader layers ensure warmth is distributed evenly across the floor surface, providing consistent comfort throughout the room.

Floating systems are particularly well suited to renovations and upper floors where weight, drying times, or access limitations make screed impractical.

In-Joist (Between Joist) Underfloor Heating Systems

In-joist underfloor heating systems are installed between timber floor joists and are an ideal solution for suspended timber floors. The pipework is laid within high-performance aluminium heat spreader plates, which efficiently distribute heat across the floor above.

These systems can be installed from above during refurbishment or from below where access allows, making them extremely versatile. They provide excellent heat output without increasing floor levels, preserving existing finishes and architectural details.

In-joist systems are commonly used in first floors, loft conversions, and period properties, offering an efficient and discreet heating solution where screed-based systems are not suitable.
